Richard Litchfield
Richard Litchfield lived for most of his adult life in the Derbyshire Dales before retiring to Scotland some years ago. An English teacher by profession, he is also a keen student of local history and the customs and traditions of the Peaks and Dales and has written many articles on the subjects.
He has also written three westerns published by Hale, and as a true crime fan, two books for Serpent Publishing, The Mystery of Balmoral House (Matlock’s Bloodiest Murder), and Deadly Doings in Derbyshire, a collection of Derbyshire murders.
He is currently working on a book of murder cases in the Derby area, and a book on Scottish murders and the subsequent trials. He is very fond of dogs.
