Albert, a Country Cat

Albert is a large and friendly black cat with big yellow eyes. He lives in a cottage in a village in Sussex and leads a pampered life with a family. He always has plenty of his favourite food. He has a warm bed and a big garden to play in at night with his four friends. Life is good for Albert. However, things start to go wrong and Albert’s life changes. Life is not the same at Owl cottage. These stories are written for children of all ages and adults, too who like a good story and appreciate fine illustrations.

Author lris Watts has written three other children’s books; two of them published by Country Books. She lives in a village in Sussex and loves cats and all wild life. The stories are beautifully illustrated by Hannah Brockbank who also lives in Sussex and owns four cats.
